No new assignments that were not either on the web yesterday or collected today! (check back if the need be)

Started collecting vocabulary definitions.

Letter: ask your child their score out of 12...capitalization, punctuation, spelling (following rules or copy correctly off the board is required)  sentence structure, letter setup, etc... are all a part of the grade

Guided Writing: we wrote the first paragraph of The Corps of Discovery... if you'd like to use this as your story for your apron, continue with additional facts, telling the story in sequence, and a strong conclusion (students received "sentence starter" suggestions to put in their binder today)  Two songs about this expedition with lots of facts are in the binder.

We learned about similes and metaphors. (She's as cute as a button. She is such a button.)  Ask your child if they know what they are...comparisons using like or as, comparison without like or as.

Daily math multiplication and division practice skills sheets were in school. (ask to see the last couple that came home....these are not timed)

We talked about the excitement coming up for Catholic  Schools Week  down the road.
